Florida: Day 1

Last week, the kids and I went on our first family vacation in 4 years. Matthew doesn't even remember the last one...he was 2 months old! Since my generous dad and stepmom were taking care of getting the condo, there was no reason not to go. We actually got to Pensacola Sunday evening, but I count Monday as our first day there.
It was looking pretty cloudy and very windy when we woke up Monday so we decided to forego the beach and head to the Gulf Breeze Zoo.  Because my niece was pretty "beached out," she decided to go with us.
Getting ready to see the animals!

The kids loved taking pictures in these little cut outs!

Saw a fox bat that had a six foot wing span!!!  I couldn't get any good pictures of him but, trust me, if you saw him in the woods, you'd get the heck out of dodge! How big is your wingspan?

We finished up our zoo day just before the thunderstorms hit. So glad we had the chance to see all the hippos, rhinos, zebras, tigers, etc...before the rain started. All in all, a great start to our vacation.
